Download TunerVault
TunerVault is more than just a tuning assistant - it’s an instrument and tuning library that’s fully customizable! Add virtually any instrument (up to 12 strings), with virtually any string layout- and then add unlimited tunings for that (and/or any other) instrument! There are 3 “voices” (Banjo, Guitar, Violin) that can be attached to any instrument. Click on a tuning peg to play that string’s note - turn on “repeat” to repeat the play of the string - even adjust the repeat rate!
First Run:
When first launched, TunerVault creates, by default, basic standard tunings for 6-string guitar, 5-string banjo, 4-string bass, 8-string mandolin, and 4-string violin. These can be edited or deleted. Additional instruments and tunings can be easilly added. Instruments and tunings can be added, edited, or deleted (deleting an instrument deletes all tunings associated with that instrument).
General Overview:
TunerVault consists of 3 primary information screens and a graphic window that displays the instrument graphic and tuning buttons. On the main screen, the left side consists of a scrollable list of instruments, a scrollable list of tunings, an “Add/Edit Instrument” button, an “Add/Edit Tuning” button, a “Repeat” selector, and a”Repeat Rate” slider.

Clicking on “All instruments” will display all saved tunings in the “Tunings” list. The first available tuning (if there is one) is automatically selected.
The “Tunings” list displays all available tunings for the selected instrument (or all tunings if “All Instruments” is selected. Clicking on a tuning will populate the instrument graphic with the instrument image, as well as display the tuning peg setting for that instrument.
The graphic display displays the instrument image and tuning peg buttons. Pressing a tuning peg button plays the tuned note. If the “Repeat” switch is on, the tone will repeat at the rate selected on the “Repeat Rate” slider, The tone will repeat until the “Repeat” switch is turned off. There is also a “Strum” button in the lower right of the graphic window that plays all strings at a slow strum.

Repeat Rate: Sets the rate at which the tone is repeated. This setting is saved when the application quits.
